Nishat Bagh

Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal Garden arranged on the eastern side of the Dal Lake in Srinagar. It is the second biggest Mughal Garden in Kashmir; the biggest one is Shalimar Bagh. In spite of the fact that it is more diminutive in size than Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh is movingly more wonderful and shocking. This arrangement is otherwise called ‘The Garden of Bliss’ and has the Zabarwan Mountains shaping its background.

The enclosure was drew and inherent 1633 by Asif Khan, Brother of Noor Jahan. Nishat Bagh has 12 porticos speaking to the zodiac signs and offers remarkable standpoints of the Dal Lake and far removed snow surpassed mountain scopes of Pir Panjal. A mountain spring has been made to slide down from 15 feet high into a quadrilateral pool right amidst the enclosure. There are pools in every section of the arrangements with spouting wellsprings. The long water waterways mixed with wellsprings and tanks, lines of Chinar Trees alongside vivid colored blossom bunks promoted the excellence of the arrangement all things considered.
